August Is The Summer Of Love

August is the summer of love. Yes, this applies to you even if you live in the Southern Hemisphere (I know it’s winter there!).

Wherever you live, the energy of love is pervasive now. And we certainly need more love in this world!

I know it looks as if the world has gone mad, yet there is still so much beauty.

You might need more self-love at the moment.

August is our 8th month, a number associated with expansion. Our Sun is in Leo, a sign associated with exuberant extraversion.

And yet, you might feel the need now to go within and take it slow.

That’s all part of the plan

For example, in numerology, August 2019 was a 20/2 Universal Month. (8 + 2+0+1+9 = 20).

20 is a highly sensitive vibration that gets you more in touch with your intuition.

It’s associated with relationships and partnering, and paradoxically encourages you to spend more time alone as well.

Only by knowing your true self can you relate to others in a meaningful way.

It’s a blessing having this deep, introspective energy now after an INTENSE month of July.

The eclipses and retrogrades brought up a A LOT of emotions and insights for you to process.

Make sure you’re taking care of yourself

You might find you are craving the company of true loved ones, and totally annoyed by people you’ve outgrown.

Allow yourself to feel all the feels and be honest with yourself.

It’s important to exercise healthy boundaries. Your time and energy are valuable resources. Use them wisely.

As you exercise more self love, you will attract people and opportunities who support your well-being.

Spiritual Waters and the Moon

What a day for dreaming! Our Moon dips into the spiritual waters of Pisces today.

There are many other planets dipping into the stream of your psyche.

Mercury, the planet that governs your mind, is retrograding back into Cancer today and will remain there throughout the month.

Mercury is joining with the Sun, Venus, and the Moon’s North Node in Cancer. This might make you feel a bit moody.

The upside is that you’re swimming into the depths of your dreams.

You might resurrect some lost gifts and buried treasures.

You’re also processing some childhood emotions and ancestral wounds that need to be healed.

With 6 planets in retrograde now, you are most likely recovering some long-held desires but not necessarily making much progress in manifesting them.

You might uncover some family patterns or responsibilities that are slowing down ambitions.

That’s all part of the master plan

Cancer’s energy is helping you find the meaning behind your goals.

You’re discovering the balance between intentions and well-being.

Go with the flow, and don’t try to push your way through life.

Take time to go within.

This is a time of integrating, processing and reflection.

Certainly, during this moon eclipse season, you’ve recognized the need to release someone or something.

Perhaps you want to let go of a habit. Maybe it’s time to let go of what you think your life SHOULD be and accept what is.

Once I connected with my intuition and Spirit Guides, I learned that there’s always a spiritual lesson in our challenges that benefit our soul’s growth.

When you know how to connect with your intuition and higher guidance, you will always find a joyful path of fulfillment and prosperity.

Before I knew how to access my Guides and manage my energy, I was constantly picking up other people’s emotions and felt anxious and depressed all the time.

Tune into your natural gifts

I didn’t trust my life to work out well. I expected the worst and felt as if bad luck followed me everywhere.

Once I consciously paid attention to managing my energy by raising my vibration and intentionally connecting with my higher self, I learned how to tune into my intuitive wisdom and communicate with my guides.

Now I trust the process of life implicitly- expecting the best and receiving it.

I feel safe and protected. I have the higher perspective of my Guides directing my path, as they show me the best way forward.

I’ve learned that intuition isn’t a skill, it is a way of life. It’s your natural way of being. You can feel confident in your intuitive abilities too. You just need someone to remind you how to tune into your natural gifts.

It’s A Complex Time

They say the journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. I literally just experienced a 1000-mile journey, leaving my home in San Diego for my new life in Portland. And yet, before I left, I had thought that I would pick my life up exactly where I had left it.

The Universe thought that was hilarious.

My internet doesn’t get installed until the end of next week.

Right now, I’m in an empty house, sleeping on an air mattress with no other furniture. My belongings don’t arrive for several more days. And yet, this month is probably THE most complicated of the year astrologically.

As much as I would have loved to do a video for you, I’m grateful that I didn’t have the opportunity. Of course, I could push myself and find a way. But that’s not the lesson here. Life is complex now, with many changes for all of us.

Sometimes if you get too much information at once, or try to do everything at once, that’s when the trickster energy of Mercury Retrograde happens. Mercury is in a backwards phase now, right in the middle of eclipse season.

Slow Down

There are so many revelations coming to light, you would do yourself a great disservice, forging ahead with your life as if everything is normal. Things are not normal.

Things can be extraordinary if you allow your life to unfold in divine and perfect timing. This requires depth processing. You need to slow down and take in your Intuitive information.

Everything around you and within you is speaking to you. Loudly and quietly. You need to pay attention to it all.

You might recognize your need for more respect, or be re-evaluating your passions and relationships. Perhaps you have rekindled an interest in a desire you tucked away before you had time. Now you have time. Make the time.

I’m grateful I get to type these musings and missives on my phone as they come to me.

I’m grateful I get to experience a month of sharing these insights with you in a written format, bit by bit.

It feels like a delicious meal with many courses.

Karmic Patterns Brought To Light

Today has a physical charge almost more than any other day of the year.

Full Moons are always a time of heightened emotions. Eclipses magnify this exponentially. Our Lunar Eclipse is in Capricorn on the 16th day of the month. 16 associates with karmic revelations and reveals hidden truths.

This eclipse is igniting deep transformation.

Eclipses always activate the nodes of the Moon, which relate to karma and destiny.

This eclipse is intensely activating the South Node in Capricorn.

This will unearth feelings you have associated with your ambition and status in the world, as well as anything related to your father and authority.

If you are feeling as if your place in the world is not representing your full potential, you have some soul searching to do.

Use this time to examine ways you are hiding from your power because you have fears around being an authority.

Eclipse energy has a resonance far after the actual day it occurs. This whole month is incredibly potent for healing and revelations.

I know this can be a potentially confusing time, with so many changes coming at you at once.
